Tim Fox

Mr. Fox began his training in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Moscelyne Larkin and Roman Jasinski. He went on to study at The School of American Ballet (SAB) where he was asked to join New York City Ballet. While with the NYCB, he worked under the direction of George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and Peter Martins. He was a Principal Dancer at Tulsa Ballet and with San Francisco Ballet under the direction of Helgi Tomasson. He has performed principal roles including Divertimento #15, Symphony in C, Four Temperaments, Serenade (George Balanchine) Fancy Free, Four Seasons (original cast), and Interplay (Jerome Robbins) as well as works by Jiri Kylian-Forgoten Land, Val Caniporoli-Connotations (original cast), Michael Smuin-Romeo & Juliet, and Paul Taylor-Sunet.

Presently at Chamberlain School of Ballet in Plano, TX, Tim has taught at many of the finest dance institutions such as: The Washington Ballet, The Washington School of Ballet, The Boston Ballet School, Boston Ballet II, Ballet Academy East (NYC), Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (NYC), The Berrend Dance Center (MD), Maryland Youth Ballet, Goucher College(MD), Towson University(MD), and SMU-Southern Methodist University(TX).

Matt Rivera - Guest Instructor

Matt Rivera

Mat Rivera has worked for 28 years as a professional dancer, choreographer, dance captain and instructor. He got his start with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, then moved on to Ballet Chicago, Feld Ballet in NYC, and Tharp! Ballet. He has toured nationally and internationally. His Broadway credits include on Broadway and tour shows. He has appeared in CATS, Swing!, Movin’ Out, Contact, and Mamma Mia. His off-Broadway credits include Come Fly With Me with Twyla Tharp, Romola & Nijinsky, Candide with the New York City Opera, dance captain on Garden of Earthly Delights. He has performed in Las Vegas, was assistant choreographer for Aladdin at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, and Lion King at Hong Kong Disneyland and co-directed the Japanese tour of Swing!

Margaret Shafer Wilkerson  - Guest Instructor

Margaret Shafer Wilkerson

Margaret Shafer Wilkerson is originally from Dallas. She appeared in the Broadway revival of "The Sound of Music" with Richard Chamberlain (and was fortunate to meet several of the real Von Trapp children!) She was in the First National Touring company of "Kiss Me, Kate" with Rex Smith, in which she played the title role many times and a national tour of "South Pacific," starring Robert Goulet and husband, John Wilkerson. New York credits include City Center's prestigious "Encores! Series" productions of "Out of This World," "Sweet Adeline" and "New Moon," under the supervision of renowned conductor, Rob Fisher. She was invited by Mr. Fisher to sing on Prairie Home Companion's Salute to Broadway, live on NPR. Some favorite roles include "Lalume" in "Kismet" - Lyric Stage, "Maria" in "The Sound of Music" - Yorktown Stage, NY, "Betty Blake" in "Will Rogers Follies" - Surflight Theatre, "Christine" in "Phantom" - Papermill Playhouse, "Lady Jaquie" in "Me and My Girl" - Casa Manana, "Jack's Mother" in "Into the Woods" - WaterTower Theatre, "Fay Templeton" in "George M" - Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, "Dolly" in "Hello, Dolly" - Surflight, "Margaret" in "Oh, Coward!" & 'Pamela" in the British farce "Out of Order" - Centennial Theatre Fest, CT, "Agnes" in "I Do, I Do!" - Labyrinth Theatre, and so many more. She has worked with Tony and Emmy award-winning directors and choreographers and with many of the most talented American and British theatre performers from whom she learned so much. Among other things, Margaret has appeared in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada, in Tokyo, at a Republican National Convention, and as soloist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She can be heard on the cast recordings of The Sound of Music (Broadway Revival), Out of This World (City Center), Tip-Toes (Gershwin Trust) and Simple Gifts, a holiday CD by the Broadway Nuns. Through private lessons, workshops and camps, the Wilkersons guide students to fulfilling and prestigious performance programs, and to finding the best application of their talents, skills and desires. John and Margaret are the proud parents of singer/songwriter Shafer Wilkerson, and of John's son , Michael who is husband to Marcia and father to Jack, Payton and Lily.

Glen Dawson - Guest Instructor

Glen Dawson

Glen Dawson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas, and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Southern Methodist University. She has studied with some of the greats of modern dance, including Martha Graham, and makes regular pilgrimages to the famous enclave of modern dance, Jacob's Pillow in Massachussetts. She is currently the Head of the Dance Program at the Episcopal School of Dallas.
