Jennifer Dulin began studying ballet at age eight. She has had the honor of studying with one of the finest ballet instructors in the world, Marcia Dale Weary (Central PA Youth Ballet). Jennifer has also studied with Igor Youskevitch, Valentina Belova, Anton Dolin, Basil Thompson, Patricia Sorrel, Genadi Vostrikov, Gwen Ashton, Ludmila Dokoudovsky, Barbara Sandonato, Alexei Yudenich, Ismet Mouhedin, and jazz with Luigi in at his New York studio.
Jennifer was awarded scholarships to three Central PA Youth Ballet Summer Intensives, Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, and Mercyhurst College High School Ballet Program. Upon graduating high school, Jennifer studied full-time with Marcia, where she danced in Nutcracker and Giselle. She taught her first classes at the Barn (as the school is affectionately named by the students) when she was eighteen.
Jennifer joined Festival Ballet of Rhode Island in 1978, and danced professionally under artistic directors Winthrop Corey (National Ballet of Canada) and Christine Hennessey (Royal Winnipeg Ballet). In Rhode Island, Jennifer also performed liturgically in collaboration with Dr. C. Alexander Peloquin at the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Providence.
Jennifer has worked with choreographer Arthur Mitchell of Dance Theatre of Harlem in his ballet Rythmetron, and with repetiteur Gwen Ashton in Les Sylphides by Michel Fokine. She has performed Swan Lake, Shindig, Rhythm, Paquita, and Raymonda Variations. She has also performed with Edward Villella, Allegra Kent, Mary Jago, Francesca Corkle, Winthrop Corey, Chris D’Amboise, Darla Hoover, Tina LeBlanc, Alisha Good, and more.
After she married her husband, a french horn player, Jennifer returned to school, became a Licensed Midwife, and practiced midwifery for fifteen years, delivering over 250 babies. She has homeschooled her three children.
Jennifer guest taught at the Arts Conservatory of Central Pennsylvania and has been asked to teach with several programs. She has completed the CPYB Teacher Training in Carlisle, PA.
Jennifer’s students at TYBC have, with just a few years of her training, been accepted into Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre JKO School in New York, ABT Alabama, Joffrey Ballet School NYC, and Bolshoi Ballet on scholarship.
